This Austin-American-Statesman Article from February 26, 2011 confirms what Goldwasser Real Estate Agents, David Schneider and Philip Myers, try to convey with this website: Shady Hollow homes are among the best of the Austin Real Estate market, if you are looking for a family-friendly neighborhood.

From the Austin Real Estate article by Statesman reporter Michele Chan Santos:

"My husband and I chose Shady Hollow for the strong community atmosphere, the square footage of the homes, the large lot sizes, the schools and the Southwest Austin location," says Andrea Exter, director of communications for the Texas Society of Architects. Monty Exter is a lobbyist for the Association of Texas Professional Educators.

Although collectively known as Shady Hollow, this area is actually made up of several different developments: the original Shady Hollow, which began in 1978; Shady Hollow West; Estates of Shady Hollow; Barker Ranch at Shady Hollow; Southland Oaks (also called the Villages of Shady Hollow) and Bauerle Ranch at Shady Hollow. These subdivisions were built at different times. Several homeowners associations cover the area; which one residents belong to depends on where they live.

Shady Hollow is a popular area for families. Many children here attend Baranoff Elementary, Bailey Middle School or Bowie High School, all part of the Austin school district. Read the full story here...

Austin Real Estate agent David Schneider (a 9-months Shady Hollow resident himself) adds a couple of important points:
As opposed to the more cultivated feel of Circle C, a majority of Shady Hollow still feels like a small country town—many of the 1 acre lots in the Estates section are unencumbered by sidewalks or street lamps.
In the areas of Shady Hollow proper (Shady Hollow HOA), the tax rates are also substantially lower at a median of 1.89% – a tremendous savings on your monthly payment.
David works in Austin Real Estate all over town. However, he loves to find the best deals for Shady Hollow Homes...especially in his own neighborhood and for families with children.
